January Favorites 2017

I cannot believe it is already the end of January. It seems as if each year keeps getting shorter and shorter. I wanted to share some of my favorites for this month and maybe they will become one of your favorites for the next month.

My first favorite is this gorgeous purplish-red color by Sally Hansen. The color is Pep-Plum number 529 | 230. If you love to wear dark shades (I know I do), it becomes a great pop of color. If you love wearing pastels, it still becomes a great pop of color. Overall this wonderful color by Sally Hansen is a great pop of color.

My next favorite is Burt's Bees chapstick wild cherry flavor. Burt's Bees is a great brand of chapstick that keeps my lips moisturized for hours.

Moving on to what I have been listening to on repeat in January. Ed Sheeran is finally back and his song Castle On The Hill is everything. I have no more words than that; just go give it a listen.

Another song I am currently loving is by the amazing girl group Little Mix. The song is Touch. The lyrics are fun, the vocals are amazing, once again I highly recommend.

So next is Sweet Pea Body Cream. This is one of my favorite fragrances it is a floral scent but isn't too overpowering. Bath & Body Works has body cream with many different fragrances. So if you are not into floral scents there are others to try.

Face masks, face masks, face masks. I am currently obsessed with them. I am using two different face masks. One by Freeman and one by Shills. The one by Freeman is a Charcoal & Black Sugar Polishing mask. The mask acts as an exfoliant and leaves your face feeling not only moisturized but also baby smooth.

The Shills mask is a peel off black mask. If you have ever done a peel off mask, you know that sometimes there can be a little pain. But as they say, beauty is pain and the pain is worth it for clean pores and smooth skin.

You can get all of these favorites from your local drugstore.
I hope you have a great day. Leave a comment mentioning some of your favorites so that I can try some new products.

Retaining Information

With a new semester underway that can only mean finding new ways to get those A’s. The hardest part for most students in college is studying/remembering information for exams. Since exams are make up the biggest percentage of the final grade, here are a few ways to make retaining information for exams easy.

The number one, of course, is to study the notes for all your classes every day. Honestly, how many of us actually have time for that? The answer is none of us. Instead what you can do is once you get your syllabi, write down in a planner what dates you have exams. Count back a week before the exam and spend those seven days focusing on that specific exam.

To retain the information for those seven days you can read a chapter a day and take notes on the important parts of that chapter. Once you finish taking notes read over those notes. The day before the exam study those notes that you have taken as well as any other study guide that you were given.

Another way to retain information is to read over your notes or the study guide before going to sleep. I know most of us would rather be on our phones enjoying whatever funny thing is happening on late night Twitter. But by going to sleep right after reading your notes the information goes to the subconscious and for all you know you might even have a dream about it. (a little weird? I know.)

Cracks of time. I cannot say this enough. There are 24 hours in a day and as much as we like to think we use all of those 24 hours being productive we don’t. (I’m guilty of this too.) Use those little cracks of time in your day to study instead of check social media. You will thank yourself later.

When it comes to retaining information for exams it can be very difficult and nerve wrecking but hopefully some of these tips can help with that. Cheers to a new year, a new semester, and a new way to retain information.

Starting Fresh: 2017

2017 is the year of starting fresh. So this year I am starting completely fresh. I have made a new blog, I have made some reasonable new years resolutions and I am living a more positive life.

My 2017 resolutions are:
1. Live a healthier lifestyle. From getting enough sleep to making sure I make healthy food options.
2.Visit at least 2 countries. I love traveling and want to do more of it internationally.
3. This is the year all about saving. I plan to save 10% of all paychecks and not go into my savings account as much.
4. As far as school goes, I want to put more focus on my major and doing the best I can in bettering myself in the field of Architecture
5. Another goal of mine is to focus more on blogging and sharing my positive energy with others.

Just like with any goal it is never too late or too early to start one. Just have a plan on how you want to achieve those goals.

Good luck and 2017 and my all the positive vibes come your way!
